Can I Resole My Boots?Updated 3 hours ago
LOWA’s resole and repair services are now available in the U.S. through Daub’s Cobbler Shop, a small, family-owned business in Laconia, New Hampshire.
By keeping repairs local, we eliminate the need to ship worn boots overseas, reducing fuel consumption and minimizing environmental impact. With factory training in Germany, Daub’s team ensures every stitch meets the same high standards as the original manufacturing process.
Which boots can be resoled?
Daub’s can resole footwear with cemented construction, like those in our backpacking and mountaineering lines made in Germany and Italy, including popular styles such as:
- TIBET GTX
- CAMINO GTX
- RANGER GTX
- LADY LIGHT GTX
- ALPINE EXPERT II GTX
Cemented Construction Explained
Cemented construction is a method of attaching the sole to the upper using strong adhesives rather than stitching or injection molding. This creates a durable bond while maintaining flexibility and comfort. Because the sole is glued rather than molded into the boot, cemented boots can usually be removed and replaced without damaging the upper, making them ideal for resoling.
Which boots cannot be resoled?
Injected sole models, such as the RENEGADE and ZEPHYR MK2, cannot be resoled without compromising the boots' structural integrity. In some cases, minor repairs like restitching or replacing hardware may be possible.
How to submit a repair request
